We teamed up with online photo game GuruShots to showcase the winning images from the 'Minimalist Shots' challenge

Billed as the world's greatest photo game, GuruShots is an online platform that provides a fun, structured way to showcase your images while gaining global exposure for your work.

GuruShots' challenges are voted on by the platform's Gurus and the wider community, and there’s a fresh challenge every day. Winners can receive prizes from GuruShots' sponsors such as Adorama, Kodak, Lowepro and Lensbaby.
The 'Minimalist Shots' contest saw entrants put their creative vision to the test, getting the maximum out of the minimum! The two standout entries for us were the painterly mists photographed by BRANKO Balasko, and the stunning mono composition captured by Andrew Antczak.
Ernesto Dominguez shot a colorful and spectacular water drop, as did Frank Werle and Mykhailo Hladchenko. And macro flora was a popular subject in general, with Javad Assaad, Attila Mészáros, Peter Ortgies and Sky Watcher standing out from the crowd.
The 20 highest ranked images were published in Digital Camera Magazine, and we're pleased to showcase these images below, along with the rest of the top 500 featured photographs in the gallery that follows.
