Best price yet: DJI Pocket 2 now AU$100 off on eBay Australia
This may be the first time the updated all-in-one action camera has been discounted
Over the last six months or so, the first generation DJI Osmo Pocket has been steadily discounted, but we can't remember seeing a decent price drop on the new Pocket 2, which was announced only in October 2020.
As far as we can tell, this is the first time the upgraded all-in-one action camera has been discounted, and a AU$100 saving makes this a very tempting offer.
Like the original model, the Pocket 2 is a camera built onto a small motorised gimbal for steady, ultra-smooth footage capture. While it might look pretty much like the first Osmo Pocket, the successor has several upgrades that make it worth the investment.
Firstly, there's a brand-new 1/1.7-inch 16MP sensor in the Pocket 2 – which is bigger than the 12MP chip in the Osmo Pocket – that's capable of spitting out 64MP still images and, like the original camera, shoots 4K video at 60fps.
DJI has also used a new ultra-wide 20mm f/1.8 lens in the Pocket 2. That's a significant increase in the angle of view as compared to the 26mm lens in the Osmo Pocket. There's also a 4x lossless zoom available (which can be bumped to 8x when using the high-res 64MP mode, but this is a digital zoom that results in some image quality compromise).
There's also a new joystick controller in the form of the Mini Control Stick that comes standard with the Pocket 2.
Everything about the new Pocket 2 screams 'quality' – is it any wonder it got a very good 4.5-star review rating from us?
If this sounds like something you'd like to get your hands on and save AU$100 on the RRP as well, then just click on the green button below – the Pocket 2 is now available for just AU$499 on eBay Australia.

In case it does, it's a little cheaper on Amazon at about AU$485 but it will be shipping in from the US.
