Fujifilm has recently registered a brand new camera model that is set to be released during early 2021. According to rumors, this new camera model could either be the Fujifilm GFX 100S or the Fujifilm X-E4.
The X-E4 could potentially be one of the best compact cameras to hit the market and the GFX 100S is set to be a compact version of the current Fujifilm GFX 100 medium format camera.

Originally reported on the Fuji Rumors site, we currently don't know which camera is set to be released. However, the registration does confirm that the date of release will be 29 January 2021.
The upcoming camera has passed the FCC certification for WiFi and bluetooth communication. Interestingly, Fujifilm is still using the older 2.4GHz WiFi for this specific model. This could indicate that the upcoming camera will be the Fujifilm X-E4 because of its potentially much lower resolution sensor.
The sensor in this camera is set to be the same 26MP one found in the X-T4, meaning that file sizes will be much smaller than those produced by the GFX series of cameras. Due to this, a 2.4GHz WiFi connection may be sufficient.
The Fujifilm GFX 100S is another highly anticipated camera and rumors suggest it's due for release next year too. This camera is potentially going to be a much smaller version of the current medium format flagship camera, the GFX 100.
As great as the GFX 100 camera is, the size and weight of it could impact how practical it can be in certain scenarios. Due to this, a smaller version would be pretty useful, especially because rumors are stating it's due to have in-body image stabilization too.
With all of this new gear on the horizon, it looks as though there's plenty for Fujifilm fans to get excited about in the New Year.
