The March issue of Digital Camera revisits one of our favourite subjects – winter wildlife

Over 13 pages, we reveal hints, tips and hard-learned advice for shooting birds, beasts and more.

And you don’t have to own any expensive camera kit or travel far… our tutorials cover using a basic telephoto lens and show how to photograph the wide array of birds you’ll find in your garden.

This month’s One to One pro masterclass focuses on Paul Reiffer, a pioneer of ultra-high-resolution photography using a Phase One camera system. And if panoramic photography interests you, then find out more about someone who has used it to great effect – the Magnum Photos legend Josef Koudelka.

These days his favored shooting subjects include wildlife, travel and street photography, and he also enjoys dabbling with studio still life.

On the site you will see him writing photographer profiles, asking questions for Q&As and interviews, reporting on the latest and most noteworthy photography competitions, and sharing his knowledge on website building.
