What's better than a Nikon Z 7? A Nikon Z 7 with a cute puppy next to it, of course.

That's right, Nikon has released a collection of desktop wallpapers featuring its cameras alongside cute canine companions. Sounds like a mastiff waste of time, but there's a pawsible explanation fur this - it's not just a puplicity stunt!

The rather fetching photos have been snapped by Nikon ambassador and pro photographer Tamara Lackey, who's apparently used to working with children and animals - quite the faux paw.

For this commission, 40 mischievous puppies were required for the two-day shoot, plus a selection of Nikon's finest cameras for them to play with. From pups looking through the viewfinder (baited into the ideal position with some peanut butter), to those staring right into the lens from a millimeter away, to puppies dressed up for the holidays, there's something for everyone.

Tamara captured all the shots using a Nikon Z 7, proving it's got what it takes to resolve minute furry detail while keeping pace with the cavorting canines. You have to hound it to her - the results really do look the dog's danglies.

Head over to Nikon to download the wallpapers yourself or watch the behind the scenes video below with cuteness overload.

So what's next? Canon re-tail-iates with an EOS R surrounded by kittens? You purred it here furst.
