Manfrotto has added three new models to its Traveller range of tripods, the Befree Advanced Carbon, Live Carbon and GT.
Designed and manufactured in Italy, the new models are aimed at outdoor photographers looking to balance sturdiness with portability.
The Befree Advanced Carbon and Befree Live Carbon both make use of carbon fiber as their main materials, while the Befree GT is set to be available in both aluminium and carbon fiber options.

Befree Advanced Carbon and Befree GT
Both the Befree Advanced Carbon and the Befree GT include Manfrotto's M-lock feature, a new twist lock designed for both compactness and speed of use, and both are designed to offer three independent leg angles. The Befree Advanced Carbon's main selling point is that it weighs just 1.25kg while the Befree GT has the advantage of folding down to just 43cm, despite its respectable payload of 10kg.
The Befree Live Carbon, meanwhile, is intended for videographers, whether they're using camcorders, compact system cameras or DSLRs. Weighing 1.38kg, it features the same newly designed legs as the Advanced Carbon model, as well as a levelling column, and ships with the Befree Live Fluid Head as standard.
Finally, the company will also be making an Advanced Befree backpack available alongside the new tripods. Described as a compact bag that's comfortable to take anywhere, the bag features expandable side pockets that accommodate a tripod (above, left).

Price and availability
The Befree Advanced Carbon, which comes complete with the Advanced 494 aluminium Centre Ball Head, will have an RRP of £319.95/$319.
The Befree Live Carbon, meanwhile, is set to retail at £349.95/$349.99, while the aluminium and carbon fibre versions of the GT model will be available at £239.95/$239 and £399.95 respectively.
The backpack, meanwhile, will retail at £119.95 in the UK, and is set to be available to pre-order from 21 June.
