The Nikon Z7 and Nikon Z6 were two of Nikon's most impressive launches, bringing the new Z-mount into the world with a bang. With two more cameras added to the Z-mount line-up this year (the Nikon Z50 and the Nikon Z5), Nikon fans have been eagerly awaiting to see what the rumored Nikon Z7s and the Nikon Z6s could be bringing to the table.
UPDATE: Since we published this story, Nikon has revealed the names of its two new mirrorless cameras and the date on which they will be revealed. The Nikon Z6 II and Nikon Z7 II will be made public on October 14 2020.
Luckily, some exciting new specifications have recently been leaked for these rumored updates to the Z6 and Z7 line, including a very welcome rumor that both cameras will have dual card slots (the single card slot in both the Z6 and Z7 was one of the biggest criticisms when they were both launched).

Apparently, as reported by Nikon Rumors, these dual card slots will be both CFexpress and SD, rather than two CFexpress slots. This could potentially be a way for Nikon to keep the compact bodies of the Z6 and Z7, as an SD card slot would presumably take up less room.
While we'll get updated card slots in the Nikon Z6s and the Nikon Z7s, apparently both cameras will still use the same original sensors that can be found in the Z6 and Z7. However, both cameras will apparently have a new 'Dual EXPEED processor'.
The Nikon Z6 is particularly well-known for its video capabilities – and it looks like Nikon might be building on that with the new releases. Apparently there will be more new video features, including 4K 60p video. However, we don't know whether this will be across both upcoming cameras, or just one.
Other interesting potential specs include an improved electronic viewfinder with 5.76 million dots (the current models both have an EVF with 3.69 million dots) and a vertical grip with built-in controls.
While these rumored specifications are admittedly incremental updates to the original Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7, the original cameras were both already pretty impressive. The official announcement is rumored to be before the end of this year.
