We have already seen Fujifilm bring out a Mark II version of the Fujifilm XF 27mm f/2.8 WR, which included an aperture ring and weather sealing. Fujifilm also upgraded the popular wide-angle Fujifilm XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS to add weather sealing to the versatile landscape lens. This could indicate that the Fujifilm XF 23mm f/1.4 II might also be in line to get the weather sealing upgrade.
The Fujifilm 23mm XF f/1.4 II looks set to be a perfect all-rounder lens suitable for shooting anything from portraits of people, your beloved pet, or capturing life's most memorable moments.
This 35mm full-frame equivalent lens also makes it the ideal choice for anyone looking to get into street photography. This focal length is slightly wider than 50mm enabling users to capture more of your scene, while the maximum wide aperture of f/1.4 creates a shallow depth of field. The additional potential benefit of weather sealing in the Mark II also means that you wouldn't need to let a wet day put you off shooting.
For those who already own the Fujifilm XF 23mm f/1.4, the upgrade may not be enough to rush out and invest in the Mark II, but for anyone who regularly shoots in wet conditions, this interesting new rumor could be just the improvement needed.
