Forget Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner - and you're officially invited. The Photography Show is the highlight of the photographic calendar, and it looks set to be bigger and better than ever. With over 20 fascinating talks and demos, you're guaranteed to learn more about your favorite hobby.
Running from 14-17 March 2020 at NEC Birmingham, The Photography Show and The Video Show are your opportunity to find out how some of the best photographers and filmmakers create spectacular pieces of work.
One of our favorite stages is the 'Super Stage', where legends of photography and filmmaking delve into their careers, their work and their journey to the top. In recent years we've heard from the likes of Martin Parr, Lindsay Adler and Sebastião Salgado. The line up for the 2020 'Super Stage' is yet to be announced, but you can be sure it'll impress.
However, The Studio and Photo Live programs have officially been announced, and they're both stuffed with exciting talks and demos. The Photo Live will have top pros taking your through practical tips for tackling various shoots, including working with models, lighting techniques and capturing movement.
One of the most interesting talks we're looking forward to is from Gavin Hoey, who'll be explaining how to create effective shallow depth-of-field portraits. Meanwhile, Elli Cassidy will be demonstrating how to create beautiful newborn images while being as productive as possible during your shoots.
For videographers, The Studio has a range of experts to give you insight into what it takes to produce engaging video content, whatever your level. BBC camera operator and filmmaker Carys Kaiser will be going through her kit bag and giving us her secret tips and tricks on what to use to make a broadcast-quality film with portable kit.
No matter whether you're a photography lover or a video enthusiast, The Photography Show and The Video Show make the perfect day out. Book your tickets at the official website and mark your calendars.
