Nikon has revealed the names of its two new full-frame mirrorless cameras, and the date on which the full details will be revealed.

You can visit the Nikon website to see a countdown timer to the official launch day of 14 October 2020, and even download a calendar file to add the date to your diary.

Details of the new cameras are still shrouded in secrecy, but we do now know that they are called the Nikon Z6 II and Nikon Z7 II.

Nikon is describing this as 'The Next Chapter', and there will be a live online launch event on the stroke of midnight on October 14 Eastern Time, or 5am BST for UK visitors... so you'll either need to stay up late or set your alarm clock!
